Michael McKinley - Owner: Michael is proud to be the third generation to operate a retail business out of NTX BBQ Supply's current location.  Michael's father and grandfather showed him what it takes to run a small retail business focused on service! 

Michael received a Marketing degree from University of Texas in Austin & spent 20 years in the corporate world including 10 years in commercial banking.   

In 2016, Michael started NTX BBQ Supply & began extensive research to identify and build strategic relationships with the top Outdoor Kitchen brands that will stand behind their products.  Michael has created a stress-free showroom environment where customers can view and choose the ideal products for their outdoor space.

Baleigh Hudman - Marketing Director: Baleigh grew up in the beautiful area of Lake Texoma and has been an integral part of the NTX BBQ Supply team for over 7 years. She started as the general manager, and her hard work, dedication, and passion for the business has led her to take on the role of marketing director.

Baleigh's love for the BBQ industry runs deep. Her experience and knowledge of the industry have helped NTX BBQ Supply become a leading provider of high-quality BBQ supplies and equipment. As marketing director, Baleigh is responsible for creating and executing the company's marketing strategies, ensuring that NTX BBQ Supply remains at the forefront of the industry.

In 2022, Baleigh accomplished her lifelong dream of moving to Florida. When she's not working, she enjoys spending time at the beach, soaking up the beautiful sun. She's also a proud fur mom to her beloved pets, and she loves nothing more than hanging out with them at home.

Leo & Ruby- Quality Control: These two rescue doggies are the secret to our success! They are always on hand to sniff test customers and give direct feedback on all smoked meats. NTX BBQ Supply is a big supporter of the Denison Animal Welfare Group.  We encourage all our friends, family & customers to rescue their pets.

Story Behind NTX BBQ Supply

Michael's love for cooking ignited early; by the age of 9, he was already whipping up breakfast for his family, with omelets as his specialty. During his 20 years in Central Texas, Michael became a regular at BBQ competitions across Austin, San Antonio, and Houston, cheering on his friend, Carlo Casanova, a championship winner. 

In the summer of 2016, Michael's got his first pellet grill and was blown away with this tremendous innovation in outdoor cooking! He noticed a gap in the market after visiting local Big Box stores, where he found the service lacking and the staff's product knowledge minimal. This experience solidified his resolve to provide personalized guidance to help customers choose the perfect grill or smoker for their needs. Michael decided to focus on higher-quality products than you find in the corporate retail stores.

Drawing on recommendations from his competition buddy Carlo—endorsing brands like Kosmos, Meat Church, Chupacabra, and John Henry's, along with essential tools and techniques used by top pitmasters—Michael founded NTX BBQ Supply. The store reflects his commitment to quality, featuring an array of American-made grills, seasonings, and BBQ accessories.

What Michael loves most about his business is imagining the delicious meals that customers create during weekends, holidays, or any regular day. It’s all about enhancing the joy of cooking and sharing good food.
